What exactly did that accomplish? Nothing. There was no eternal impact.

My heart was crying out to lift up God’s beauty for all to see. I believe that’s what God loving artists do.

My boss, Dave, beautifully captured that sentiment when he wrote the following to our department:

YOU ARE AN ARTIST.
A Visionary.  A Storyteller.  A Poet.  A Dreamer.  You inspire. You innovate.  You entertain.  You realize that your creative abilities are given by a creative God.  You have a burning desire to touch hearts and lives in a dramatic way.  You are uniquely enabled to glorify God and reach the world He loves through the visual language of our culture because…
YOU ARE CREATIVE.
You are a director, designer, writer, editor, producer, coder, teacher, and technician.   You have studied, applied and pursued your craft, knowing that while many may think you have mastered it, you have much more to learn because
YOU ARE PASSIONATE.
You are an integral part of a team.  A ministry.  A mission.  A movement.  The vision you pursue is bigger than you, but cannot be realized without you.  It requires your unique contribution, your full attention, your complete devotion to create shockingly beautiful, creative works that are birthed in the mind of God.  The message cannot be contained.  It must be shared at the highest standards of excellence because
YOU ARE CALLED.
Anything less is not what you were prepared for and called to for such a time as this.  You are a Creative Communicator.  Welcome.  Now go change the world.  They are waiting.  And watching.
