Fuel for the church creative

In an attempt to hone my skills and become a better writer I have been reading as many screenwriting books as I can.  Two books in particulare I highly recommend are “save the cat” by Blake Snyder and “story” by Robert McKee. Another thing I have been doing is listening to the creative screenwriters magazine podcast which has allowed me to understand the methodology great screenwriters use in writing their screenplays. Finally I enjoy reading articles from Collide Magazine where I can hear the stories of other christian film-makers and what they are doing. I highly recommend a subscripton to this magazine.  These are just a few of the ways I fuel up creatively, however we must not forget that the greatest fuel is God’s word and his inspiration through the Holy Spirit.
