What would they do?
Self-evaluation is a difficult thing. Taking a critical look at the effectiveness of your position, your ministry and the environment in which you operate can be next to impossible because of your insider information. After all, you know all of the reasons why you can’t create. From the outside looking in, making the simple changes that could make a radical difference in the life of your ministry might seem easy. The outsiders; however, wouldn’t know the history, the personalities involved or the number of roadblocks standing in your way.
Precisely.
What if the outsiders were in charge – in their “ignorant” state? What changes would they make?
They probably wouldn’t care much about upsetting people that they didn’t know. They probably wouldn’t have a sentimental attachment to an ineffective technique. They probably would make the changes that should have been made long ago.
