Using photos in videos

As a general rule of thumb I typically don’t use photos in most of the videos I create.  For some reason it drives me nuts to mix photos with video.  Recently I ran into a video where I didn’t have footage of the person in the story and decided to tell the story with several photos throughout the video.  I decided to take advantage of the white space and use masks and filters to insert the pictures without ever leaving the video completely.  Doing this allowed me to control the style of the video without feeling like I had to revert to a slideshow in the middle of the video.  Check out the video here.
