Creating An Online Magazine
I recently created a new magazine at the church which I serve. The process was long, tedious, and exhausting. Now that I’ve got the layout under my belt, I can pass it on to my graphic designer for the following issues.
As most churches, we are currently working on a tight budget. While I would like to have printed this magazine, it just wasn’t feasible with the current economic climate. But that didn’t discourage me!
I found a great site that hosts magazines online. Issuu is a unique site that allows you to display your pdf in a magazine-like format. You even get to do page turns.
You basically upload your pdf, Issuu converts it and presto! There’s a magazine there. The conversion creates all the highlights, shadows and page curls to enhance the magazine effect.
The beauty of it is that it’s not just for magazines. Any church piece you normally print can be uploaded here: magazines, brochures, pamphelets, etc.
I highly recommend this resource.
