Your #1 source for creativity
I know this might sound trite and redundant, but its true the bible is indeed the #1 source for creativity. Think about it, the bible is the Word of God, its this part of God that speaks to us in new and real ways everyday. At times it can be easy to look for inspiration from others or muster up some ideas with a few mind mapping tools, but consider using the bible as the primary source for your inspiration. Just the other day I decided to read a large chunk of the book of Matthew without trying to really study it. It was amazing to me what ideas jumped out while reading God’s Word that I wasn’t expecting. Sometimes I think we can try too hard to be really slick and creative, when maybe what we need to do is to be soaked in God’s word to the point that the art that comes out of us is what naturally flows from knowing the Creator Himself.
