A New Book For Church Communication Leaders
About a month ago, I got an email from Tim Schraeder (director of communications at Park Community Church in Chicago). He contacted me along with several others in the church communications field about an idea he had for a book.
Tim had just finished reading Linchpin, REWORK, and Making Ideas Happen (all 3 are highly recommended). He was inspired to put together a book that would be an “indispensible resource for church communications leaders to help them clearly and effectively communicate the Gospel.”
What was an inspired thought is becoming a reality entitled Outspoken: Conversations on Church Communications. This book will include contributions from over 50 thought leaders in the church communications space.
Along with my contribution, the book will also bring insights from communications rock stars such as:

Tim gave this description about the book
OUTSPOKEN will be a collection of short essays by each contributor focusing on various areas that encompass church communications. It will offer practical ideas and insights from some of the people who are shaping and changing the way churches communicate. Some faces are familiar, some are new, but they all represent a unique mix of churches and backgrounds that will inspire and challenge you to change the way you do communications.
The plan is to have this book released as a downloadable PDF, printed paperback through Amazon, and available in Kindle and iBook format.
The publication date has not yet been set, but the goal is the winter of 2011.
