Create something incredible every week
Several years ago I came up with this goal that has really helped me. I didn’t always achieve the goal, but having the goal was helpful. The goal was create something incredible every week. That “something” doesn’t necessarily have to be finished. The “something” could be a treatment, a script, a completed shoot or a finished edit. Whatever the “something” is you will most likely pay special attention to that “something” versus other “somethings” if you are able to zero in on that single project. Sure you will work on other projects during the week, however that one “something” that week gets special attention and special care. It is impossible to give every “something” you have lots of care and attention, so you must choose one or two a week that you are going to invest more of your energies on. Once you have decided what one thing you want to be incredible for that week, go to God and ask him to help you with that project. Being specific with your goals and with God is not only helpful but biblical.
